Why a distance learning course?

Espaņol

English

During the first of the ten years in that these courses have been taught the traditional method of teaching was used (a classroom, students and a teacher). They have been from then on, in the area of Vacuum Forming and Plastic Injection, the only courses with mainly practical orientation in the Republic of Argentina, because they are centered on the secrets of the profession more than on the theoretical knowledges, since the experience indicates that these last ones are not very applicable.

Because of these courses are unique in the country, during several years many students had to travel from cities very far away. The nuisances and the transfer costs made that the students themselves suggested the possibility that the courses began to be dictated at distance.

This way a learning material that could be sent directly to each student's home, where each one studied and put it into practice began to be developed.

During that stage of the study, or in the creation of the first plastic pieces or the construction of homemade microinjectors and vacuum forming machines, any doubt that arose could be quickly answered by e-mail, letter or phone.

This support system ended up becoming a true individual consultantship, so that each student had the security of having a permanent backing, still when each one of them would have concluded his studies.

At the present time we answer consultations coming from students who have already reached a high professionalism level and that took these courses several years ago.

Working this way, the benefit for the students has been very important, since:

      - Each course is much more economic.

      - The student administers the time according to his possibilities, without disregarding his other obligations

      - Each student learns to his own rhythm, contrary to what happens in a course which implies presence, where he can be straggler or very advanced with regard to his partners, what is translated in that the course is not assimilated correctly or it is boring.

      - The colour drawings which accompany each one of the technical courses, carried out with computer, have the realism and the clarity that it is needed to offer the student the advantage of being able to study them the whole time and with the thoroughness that he needs, in opposition to what happens in a course which implies presence, where the material can only be examined briefly.
